The Central Election Commission has started a several-day training program for the staff and trainers who will be engaged in the elections for the Assembly of Kosovo in the municipalities.
The training program is focused on the legal duties and responsibilities of personnel engaged during the various stages of the election process.
The program also aims to prepare staff and trainers with adequate knowledge of electoral procedures, duties, responsibilities and the role of trainers in the electoral process; voting and counting procedures at the polling station; the role, duties and legal responsibilities of members of the Polling Station Councils; procedures for conditional voting and voting of persons with special needs and circumstances; procedures for voting abroad; counting of votes of candidates for deputies in municipal counting centers (MCCs); the role, duties and legal responsibilities of counters at the MCCs and the procedures for packaging and delivering electoral material.
The next phase of the training program, after appointment by the CEC, is the training of members of polling station councils, who will be engaged in the voting process within the country and in diplomatic missions.
During the following weeks, the CEC will also hold training sessions for the members of the mobile teams who will be committed to the voting process of persons with special needs and circumstances and in the municipal counting centers.In October 2024, the CEC concluded the training sessions for more than 250 members of the municipal election commissions from 38 municipalities of Kosovo.
