The year 2024 for Albania has been assessed as successful in the field of European integration. This is what the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Igli Hasani stated, saying that their priority remains the journey towards the European Union and that the objective remains the closing of technical negotiations within the year 2027. Also, during a conversation with journalists, Hasani emphasized that Kosovo is a national priority.

Hasani has mentioned that the year 2024 began with important diplomatic engagements for Albania, counting the organization of summits, the holding of two intergovernmental conferences between the EU and Albania, etc.

He has mentioned that during the year 2024, Albania is committed to stability in the region while underlining that Kosovo is a national priority.

"Albania always values Kosovo at the core of our foreign policy and Kosovo remains our national priority. We will continue to provide ongoing support for maintaining Kosovo's stability in a period of internal and external challenges. We have always supported the EU-facilitated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia," he added.

Minister Hasani stated that Albania has condemned the terrorist acts in the north of Kosovo and that it has encouraged the parties to reach an agreement for lasting peace.

Among other things, Hasani said that Albania has condemned the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
