The New York City Council, in a solemn ceremony organized on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, has honored with gratitude the KosovaPress News Agency for its valuable work and contribution to the liberation of Kosovo.
The event highlighted the important role of the media in providing information in support of freedom and democracy. The award for KosovaPress was received by journalist Naim Balidemaj, who worked for KosovaPress during the war from New York.
The acknowledgments were shared by New York City Council Member, Albanian-American, Mark Gjonaj.
In addition to the KosovaPress News Agency, recognition was also given to Radio Television 21 and Bota Sot, among others.
