The Municipality of Pristina has today delivered six of the eight new trucks purchased for the public enterprise "Pastrimi", an investment worth 1.4 million euros. According to the municipality, this is being done with the aim of improving the waste management situation in the capital - which has long been problematic due to outdated equipment and a lack of adequate means.

The Director of Public Services, Bekim Brestovci, emphasized the importance of this investment for improving the situation in the city.

"We are very optimistic and hope that this will have at least a small impact on improving the situation we currently have in Pristina, as a result of an outdated and deficient mechanism of the 'Pastrimi' enterprise. It is a 1.4 million investment that the Directorate of Public Services has made, all with the aim of improving the situation in the capital," he said.

Brestovci also announced the distribution of new containers that will soon be seen in various locations in the capital.

"Very soon we will distribute 2500 new containers, which will help increase the efficiency of the waste collection service," he said.

On the other hand, Petrit Reçica, CEO of the company "Pastrimi", welcomed this support, emphasizing that the new trucks will have an immediate impact on improving services for citizens.

We remind you that the Municipality of Pristina has declared a state of emergency for waste management in the capital.

This investment comes at a time when waste management in Pristina is one of the main challenges of the capital, with numerous criticisms from citizens about the inefficient service and the waste accumulated in many neighborhoods.
