About 20 percent of police officers have not yet declared their assets. These and others who have not made their wallets transparent are soon expected to be fined. And from last year's process, a large number are expected to be sent to the prosecutor's office.

The director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Yll Buleshkaj, declares that next week the lists will be finalized to start the fines of 30 percent of their salaries. He declares that this year there are about 11 public officials who have fulfilled their legal obligation on time. For the first time, the medical staff were also involved in this process, but there are six doctors and two professors, who have not declared their assets.

Buleshkaj in an interview for KosovaPress, says this year that there is no head of state, minister, deputy, chief executive officer and general director who has not declared his wealth.

This year, doctors and professors participated in the process of declaring assets. He says that there was a reluctance of doctors to fulfill this obligation.

Any of the officials who have not fulfilled the obligation on time will accept a fine of 30 percent of their salary.

The largest number of public officials who have not declared their assets are police officers.

The deadline for declaring assets was March 31. /Sh. Pajaziti/
