President-elect Donald Trump will quickly implement executive actions on immigration, energy policy and federal government operations to control dozens of campaign policy priorities.

Trump on Sunday vowed to issue "nearly 100" executive orders on his first day in office. Many of those orders will be designed to reverse or eliminate those implemented by the Biden administration.

Stephen Miller, Trump's incoming deputy chief of staff for policy, predicted some of those actions Sunday afternoon in a call with senior congressional Republicans, CNN reports.

These are some of the promised messages:

• Immigration action: Miller confirmed that elements of a long-planned comprehensive set of actions would be included, including Trump's call for a national emergency at the border as a way to unlock funds from the Defense Department for use by the administration.

• Drug cartels: Trump will designate a number of drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and direct his administration to reinstate his first-term Immigrant Protection Protocol policy, commonly referred to as "Remain in Mexico."

• Changes to how the federal government works: Trump will sign executive orders that repeal the federal government’s diversity, equity and inclusion policies, Miller told lawmakers, as well as actions to remove gender-specific executive orders imposed by President Joe Biden. An executive order, known as Schedule F, that would limit or eliminate job protections for federal workers will be Trump’s goal in his first hours in office.
