This year, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development through the Food and Veterinary Agency will register the animals of farmers throughout the territory of Kosovo by the veterinarian who will be contracted by the AUV.

According to the announcement of the ministry, this will be done based on the new Administrative Instruction.

"Based on this AI, farmers will be able to provide their farms with the authorized veterinarian with all the necessary documentation, including the distribution of the registration number for the identification of cows, sheep, goats, pigs, buffaloes and other animals", it is said further.

To carry out this process, the AUV will contract the veterinary clinics and supply them with identification and registration numbers, thus covering all costs for equipping animals on farms with registration numbers, free of charge. for farmers.

"Numbers for the identification and registration of animals (registration) will have special specifications, where it is identified through the barcode, the RKS sign with a number that specifies the type of animal and the region where the farmer develops agricultural activity and (2+6) unique ordinal numbers . Through this form, the tracking of the movement of animals throughout the territory of Kosovo is helped and facilitated," it continues.

Also, in the communiqué, it is stated that the number will be with EU standards and with A test, which will be yellow and placed on the two ears of an animal with the same barcode and other identifying specifications.

For the beginning of the animal identification process, MAMPZhR - AUV will notify all farmers in time through the institution's official website.
