The police officers of the General Investigation Unit of Pristina, assisted by the Rapid Response Unit, arrested a person suspected of kidnapping today.

The case was reported around 18:30 p.m., where the suspect kidnapped a person, for whose release the victim's family members demanded 30 euros.

The arrest of Sh. K. (23), a citizen of Kosovo and the release of the victim (in good health), was made a few minutes after the report as a result of an intensive investigative work, which police officials have undertaken in cooperation with the state prosecutor.

Part of the police action was the raid and examination of the location where the victim was kept, where a weapon, a knife, an ax, and other items were found and seized. A car was also confiscated by the decision of the prosecutor.

Currently, police investigators in coordination with the state prosecutor are carrying out the necessary procedural actions.
