AAK's candidate for MP, businessman Ramush Ahmetaj, commemorated the Reçak massacre, where he also paid homage this morning.
"Today we were in Recak to remember and honor the 45 Albanians who were massacred by Slobodan Milosevic's army and police on January 15, 1999 in Recak. The Recak massacre is a great testament to how precious freedom is," said Ahmetaj.
He emphasized that Serbia committed such massacres throughout Kosovo, in the last war and in all historical periods.
"But we never forgot those who gave everything they had for a free Kosovo, in the last war and in the past. The terrible massacre of Recak shook the conscience of the democratic world, and marked the decisive turning point in our journey towards freedom. On January 15, 1999, 45 unarmed Albanians were killed and brutally massacred in the village of Recak. Their blood became a light for a free Kosovo! Eternal memory to the fallen!", declared Ahmetaj.
