Kamala Harris has announced the victory of Donald Trump in the presidential election, after the certification of the result by Congress.

"The state of the vote for president of the United States, as delivered to the president of the Senate, is as follows: The whole number of electors appointed to vote for president of the United States is 538. Within that whole number, the majority is 270. The votes for president of the United States are as follows: Donald J Trump of the state of Florida received 312 votes,” said Harris.

After her speech, loud applause erupted from Republicans. Then Harris continued the speech by announcing the votes she herself received in this confrontation with Trump, according to Tch.

"Kamala D Harris of California got 226 votes," she said afterward, prompting cheers from Democrats.
