Improving the healthcare system and changes in education are among the main priorities of the Democratic League of Kosovo candidate for MP, Serbeze Kabashi-Muçaj. Turning the Main Family Medicine Center in Istog into an example for all other centers is a focus of her work.

With experience as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine and as a radiologist working at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo since 1999, Kabashi-Muçaj pledges to make her contribution to the good of citizens.

Health insurance for citizens, support for medical staff, including paid internships, and opportunities for employment and specialization, are some of its promises.

She expresses her readiness to be a strong voice in parliament to achieve these goals and help the citizens of Kosovo.

"Looking at the daily routine, since my profession is related to the health sector and is also related to the education process, mainly health, seeing the daily challenges that we have at UCCK and in the health system in general, I have seen fit to enter this competition... There are many priorities. There are several, but I think that the most important and vital for the citizens of Kosovo in general is that (health) insurance be feasible and with the LDK taking office, these will be feasible in the first year. Then, everything related to the health sector, the payment of the internship of doctors who have been doing specialist internships without pay so far and their work must be paid. Employment, which is an indispensable need for medical staff, and specializations are also vital for the country in general," says Kabashi.

With nearly three decades of experience in the fields of health and education, Kabashi believes he can bring significant changes to Kosovo's health and education systems.

"The experience of almost three decades of my work has proven in both spheres the contribution that I have had the opportunity to make, and now I see that the most powerful contribution is made if you are given the opportunity to be a member of parliament in the Republic of Kosovo, to realize everything that has to do with the sphere and health system in Kosovo and with the education system in the country," Kabashi underlines.

At the local level, Kabashi has a special focus on improving the infrastructure in Istog, especially for the QKMF, which, according to her, should become an example of success for the entire country and beyond.

"We will be a strong voice, first of all, for the QKMF to be completed in the fastest possible time frame. To be an example QKMF not only in Kosovo, but also abroad, with an infrastructure. With adequate specializations and professionals of the secondary system and doctors. As well as everything related to the sphere of education and health and social cases, starting every project related to Istog, I will be a strong voice in Parliament for the budget, because as a municipality that has a small budget and cannot realize all the projects that both the mayor and the LDK foresee. So without hesitation I will be a strong voice to support the municipality," she says.

The campaign for the general elections in Kosovo began on January 11, while the elections will be held on February 9.
