Petar Petkovic is once again using fear as the main weapon to force Kosovo Serbs to support the Serbian List, said security expert Avni Islami.

The Serbian List is the largest party of Kosovo Serbs and enjoys the support of official Belgrade.

"A branch of Belgrade that does not work for the interests of the Serbian people, but for the mafia structures and the political agenda of Aleksandar Vuçiqit", Islami said in a Facebook post.

Islami has commented on a statement by Petkovic claiming that only the Serbian List can "protect" Serbs.

"These words are nothing but manipulation and an attempt to intimidate Serbs, who have been suffering repression from Serbia for years," Islami said.

He added that "The Serbian List has long been not a political option that protects the interests of Serbs in Kosovo, but it operates under the orders of Belgrade and criminal clans - with Milan Radoicic at the head," he said.

Former deputy leader of the Serbian List, Milan Radoićić, claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Banjska, Zvečan, in September 2023, where Kosovo Police Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed.

"Petković and the Serbian List want to monopolize the political space and forbid any other alternative, because any political representative who is not under their control can defend the rights of Serbs, without serving their interests." Vuçiq"it and its criminal structures," said Islami.

"It is ironic that the Serbian List accuses Kurti of ethnic cleansing of Kosovo, while it itself is involved in intimidating Serbs who do not want to blindly follow the regime." Vuçiq"Any Serb who dares to oppose the Serbian List is labeled a traitor, and many have faced threats, pressure and even physical attacks," Islami added.
