Inter will face Bologna at the Giuseppe Meazza this evening and Simone Inzaghi will be looking for another victory to continue his journey towards the championship title.
Thuram is expected to start for the first time in three games after suffering a minor muscle injury in the Super Cup semi-final against Atalanta in early January.
Inzaghi is short of options in midfield with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu injured. This means Kristjan Asllani, Nicolò Barella and Piotr Zielinski will start again, leaving Davide Frattesi on the bench.
Bologna will look to Santiago Castro in attack, while Dan Ndoye is the favourite to replace Riccardo Orsolini. Scotland international Lewis Ferguson is expected to take a nap in the middle of the park, joining Remo Freuler.
Inter vs Bologna – possible formationsInter (3-5-2): Sommer; Darmian, De Vrji, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Asllani, Zielinski, Dimarco; Lautaro Martinez, Thuram.
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Holm, Beukema, Casale, Miranda; Freuler, Ferguson; Ndoye, Odgaard, Dominguez; Castro.
