The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prizren has filed an indictment against the defendant BQ, who is in custody from 15.08.2024 to 15.11.2024, due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense "Driving while incapacitated or drunk ”, and “Unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotropic or similar substances”.

According to the indictment, dated 15.08.2024 at around 06:15, on the road Suharekë - Prizren, exactly at the place called "Ura e Topliqani", in the Municipality of Suharekë, the defendant BQ, driving the vehicle of the brand "Mercedes", in violation of Law No. 08/L-186 on Road Traffic Rules, drives the vehicle without a driver's license and under the influence of alcohol, with an amount of alcohol in the air of 0.68 per thousand, so that in this drunken state he was moving along the road Suharekë - Prizren, after passing the place called "Ura e Topliqani", in the sharp turn to the right, he does not adjust the speed of movement, loses control of the vehicle and crosses the opposite lane of the road, and hits the other car of the type " Audi 89" which was already being driven by the deceased AQ, who remains dead at the scene, while the passenger BG, who was in the defendant's car, suffered serious bodily injuries, as described in the medical report - legal. With these actions, he committed the criminal offense of "Driving while incapacitated or drunk".

"Also, on 15.08.2024, around 08:00, in Suhareka, exactly in the emergency facility, without authorization he possesses narcotics, psychotropic or similar substances, in such a way that after receiving medical treatment, he goes to the emergency toilet, throws away a plastic bag with suspected narcotic substance, which the police officers find and the same evidence on 15.08.2024 is examined through the field test "MMC International BV Cannabis Test" (known intercounty) and the same results positive for the presence of the narcotic, weighing 1.13 grams with the presence of cannabis - marijuana. With these actions, BQ has committed the criminal offense of "unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotropic or similar substances" from article 269 according to the KPRK. The prosecutor of the case, when the indictment was filed, proposed to the Court that after the holding of the judicial review, the administration of the evidence and their evaluation, the above-mentioned defendant for the criminal offenses for which he is accused should be declared guilty and punished according to the law. Also, the prosecutor of the case has proposed the continuation of the measure of detention against the defendant", the communiqué states.
