Prime Minister Albin Kurti is the most talked about figure in misinformation during the month of October. The pre-election disinformation campaign has started in social media, where the main focus is publishing on tik-tok. This is what Hibrid.info's monitoring report says about misinformation during the month of October. In this report, 44 disinformation contents are analyzed, where fake news is the most frequent form of disinformation.

The researcher at Hibrid.info, Festim Rizanaj, said that misinformation to a large extent continues during this month.

He added that 18 percent of publishers are media, while 73 percent are social media.

"The figures are related to before the election campaign, where political parties including all these big ones are part, dominate as the most talked about institutions. Prime Minister Albin Kurti is the most talked about figure during the month of October, and from time to time during other months Kurti is one of the protagonists talked about in misinformation. We have a pre-election misinformation campaign that is taking place on social media, specifically on tik-tok. If we make a calculation, during August 23 percent was the misinformation published on tik-tok, in September it rose to 35 percent and in October 38 percent. We can see an increase in misinformation on tik-tok that even during November this misinformation is being published mainly on the tik-tok platform", Rizanaj added.

From the day the election day was decided, the fact checker, Fatbardh Dema said that 14 fake polls have been identified.

In the Hibrid.info monitoring report, it is stated that the main topics used to create disinformation content are election polls, the situation in the north, the elections in Kosovo, the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, salary increases and employment competitions.
