On the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the head of Kosovar diplomacy Donika Gërvalla and her Lithuanian counterpart Gabrielius Landsbergis signed an agreement to avoid illegal migration through the re-admission of persons staying without authorization in the respective countries.

During the meeting, Minister Gërvalla expressed gratitude for Lithuania's steadfast support for Kosovo in strengthening international subjectivity and Euro-Atlantic membership.

Otherwise, Kosovo and Lithuania have built a strong partnership in strengthening cooperation in key areas such as security, economy and Euro-Atlantic integrations.
