The Republican candidate in the presidential elections, Donald Trump, has been declared the 47th president of the United States, securing about 276 Electoral College votes.

For former president Trump, currently the winner of the last elections, Kosovar citizens have given their opinions.

His victory has been welcomed with different justifications. Some of the citizens have welcomed his call to stop wars. Until they hoped that America's approach to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue would not change.

The citizen, Izet Zhuja, told KosovaPress that America will maintain a kind of balance towards Kosovo.

He hopes that America will not be against the people of Kosovo even though the political figures leading the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia will change.

"I believe that America will maintain a certain balance towards Kosovo even though it is the republican party, because we know that both the republican and democratic parties have helped us. Even though the political figures can change, who will now lead the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia", said Zhuja.

Meanwhile, the other citizen Zymer Mramori has added that Trump is a businessman, who, according to him, is unpredictable.

Likewise, citizen Nuri Shabani continued that in his opinion the relations between America and Kosovo will be the same and will not change.

And the other citizen, Fahri Kaçiu, emphasized that Americans know best who they voted for.

In the November 5 race were Democrat Kamala Harris, currently the vice president of America, and Republican Donald Trump, who was president from 2017 to 2021.

Meanwhile, world leaders have welcomed Trump's victory. Even in Kosovo, Trump was congratulated by institutional and party leaders.

Kosovo has enjoyed the support of the USA over the years, regardless of who has been in charge of it.

The USA has continuously mediated the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations regardless of its political leadership.
