Thousands of citizens from different parts of Kosovo and the region visited the "Adem Jashari" Memorial Complex in Prekaz on Thursday, in commemoration of the glorious epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

In the land where history was written in blood, where every stone and every threshold speaks of the resilience of a family that chose freedom over life, visitors paused humbly before their sacrifice. They remembered the pain of the tragic March of 1998, but also the sense of pride that remains eternal, reports KosovaPress.

At the same time, they called for more appreciation and institutional care for the contribution of martyrs for freedom and independence.

"I feel proud, but I feel very sad for those who gave their lives for this country," says citizen Januz Musliu from the Municipality of Mitrovica, through tears.

Meanwhile, he expresses disappointment at the way their sacrifice is being treated today by state institutions.

Nazmi Qollaku had come from Prizren, with a deep sense of respect for the nation's heroes.

Bekë Mulaj, another visitor, painfully recalled March 1998, when the heroic battle of the Jashari family took place.

From March 1 to 6 alone, nearly 30 thousand citizens visited the "Adem Jashari" Memorial Complex in Prekaz.

While from the beginning of the year to today, not counting today, the total number of people who visited Prekaz is over 14 thousand.

This was announced by the Cicero of this complex, Ilaz Halimi. He told KosovaPress that only today, March 6, around 16 thousand citizens visited this place.

Otherwise, March 5,6, 7, and 59 are known as the Epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army, where XNUMX members of the Jashari family were killed after three days of resistance.
