Across Israel, sirens were heard, followed by multiple rocket attacks from the direction of Lebanon that injured several people, the Israeli military announced today.

The pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia fired about 150 rockets, forcing civilians into shelters in central and northern Israel, including Tel Aviv.

The military said about 30 rockets were fired at the coastal city of Haifa and the western Galilee within minutes, but some of them were intercepted. It is reported that several people were injured in the attacks.

The attacks came a day after an Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed 20 people, according to Lebanese officials.
