The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has requested support from all members of the Assembly of Kosovo for the draft law on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets, which was voted by the Government of Kosovo today.

According to Haxhiu, there is no single reason for this bill to be sent to the Constitutional Court.

Haxhiu said that a part of the opposition does not want organized crime to be fought.

Even pointing the finger at the PDK, he said that this party had not sent the draft law on the Bureau to the Constitutional Court with the same pomposity as they had done with the other draft laws.

As for the dismissals due to the escape of prisoners from the prisons of Kosovo and the justice system in the country, Albulena Haxhiu emphasized that the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Justice has already assessed that there was neglect of duties by the correctional officers.

According to her, the Disciplinary Commission will take measures against the officials who have committed violations. She made these comments at the media conference after the meeting of the Government of Kosovo.

When asked about the dismissal of the ambassador of Kosovo to Croatia, Martin Berishaj Haxhiu said that he has nothing to add other than what they have said in the past.
