The ten-year plan agreed with America and NATO is the foundation for the next step - direct membership. The Partnership for Peace has already been implemented through this plan. Now, Kosovo aims for full NATO membership through a new plan that includes three main aspects:
1. Political:
- Strengthening relations with Euro-Atlantic institutions;
- Fulfillment of obligations in dialogue;
- Consolidation of democracy in Kosovo;
- Improving relations with neighbors.
2. Military:
- Raising the combat capacities of the Kosovo Army;
- Development of the local defense industry;
- Production of ammunition, shells and other military equipment;
- Improvement of the military and civil defense infrastructure;
- Increasing Kosovo's contribution to NATO commitments.
3. Economic:
- Activation of Kosovo's resources for economic partnership with the countries of the Alliance.
NATO membership will bring numerous benefits:
- It will be the biggest security turn for Kosovo;
- It will guarantee economic development by increasing the value of the country's resources and potentials;
- It will encourage local and foreign investors;
- It will transform Kosovo into an important economic address.
This major economic turnaround will ensure:
- The attitude of citizens, especially young people in Kosovo;
- Improving the health system, offering quality services to everyone;
- Raising the quality of education at the level of NATO countries;
- Adapting education to the needs of the labor market.
The Alliance enters the elections with the vision of this major turning point in security and economy. This vision aims to ensure:
- Salaries and dignified pensions for citizens;
- Better living conditions;
- Sustainable development in all spheres.
National leadership requires broad vision. Membership in NATO is a response to the overall development of the country, including the population's attitude, improving education and health, as well as ensuring decent wages.
