Sustainable economic development, support for businesses, salary increases for all categories, and functionalization of health insurance were some of the promises made by the Democratic Party of Kosovo's candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza.
At the electoral rally in Fushë Kosovë, he emphasized that Kosovo has no other path than the path of integration into the EU, NATO, and strategic partnership with the USA.
Meanwhile, he criticized the ruling party, the Vetevendosje Movement. According to him, in the last four years the country has faced a lack of results.
As he said, there are no significant capital projects that have taken place within these years.
He has pledged that with the PDK in power, war veterans will be recognized for their right to work and their pensions will not be denied.
"Our focus is sustainable economic development, we will support businesses, both with tax incentives, fiscal policies, and facilitating access to finance, grants and subsidies. We will support businesses for young people, because they work for themselves, families, employ people, pay taxes. When it comes to the standard of living, we have work, it is not generosity and charity but a state duty. We will increase pensions by 70 percent at the beginning of the mandate, the first months of governance, we will recognize the work experience of the 90s. When it comes to the family, the families of martyrs, war invalids, veterans, an increase of 50 percent. We will not force the parents of martyrs to choose between the old-age or martyr's pension, they will receive both. Veterans will be recognized for their right to work and their pension will not be denied. These are commitments that will be realized", emphasized Hamza.
Hamza underlined that as the election date, February 9, approaches, this party is growing.
He called for mobilization in the final days of the campaign.
"As we approach February 9, the PDK caravan is growing, the energy is growing, the pulse is increasing and the PDK victory is inevitable. We are here for an oath, for a mobilization, for a guarantee that PDK will lead Kosovo for the next four years. We love the state regardless of whether we are in power or in opposition, because for us Kosovo is above all, first, but in the last four years we have really faced a lack of results. There is no significant, capital project that has taken place within these four years. Prices have increased by 40 to 100 percent. You are witnesses, even bread, oil, meat, electricity, everything. Salaries, pensions have remained at the same level. The standard of living has deteriorated, this situation must be changed", added Hamza./KosovaPress
