The candidate for prime minister from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, has promised to make health insurance functional.
He said that no citizen will be left without medical treatment, therefore, according to him, even essential medicines will be free.
Hamza said at the electoral rally in Prizren that the PDK program for the February 9 elections is realistic, "therefore, citizens have the clear choice to vote for this."
He promised to increase public sector wages by 50 percent, as well as basic pensions by 70 percent.
"After February 9, we will have a new standard in politics. We will have a new government that works and keeps its word. Already in the first months of government, we will increase salaries in the public sector by 50 percent. Basic pensions by 70 percent. Categories emerging from the war will not only receive higher pensions but will have the right to work in the private sector without hindrance. These increases will strengthen purchasing power and will advance our economy. We will reform the tax system, ease the burden on businesses, and provide more grants and subsidies. We will build new roads, modern infrastructure. We will reform the education system, making it suitable for the 21st century. In healthcare, we will make health insurance functional. No citizen will be left without medical treatment. Essential medicines will be free. "We will work on restoring the fountain square [in Prizren], repairing the city ring road, connecting to the highway, and opening a new transit road," Hamza emphasized.
In addition, Hamza, seeking votes in Prizren, said that PDK has a realistic program, "therefore, citizens have a clear choice about who to vote for."
"In these elections, the choice is clear. A realistic program, or no program at all. Teamwork or a one-person spectacle. The one who listens or the one who shouts. Unity or division. Undoubtedly, with a realistic program and teamwork, listening to the demands of citizens and united for a better Kosovo," added Hamza.
On the other hand, PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi, speaking about Bedri Hamza, said that he is a leader who does not divide, but unites and who keeps his word on the promises made.
"A leader is not one who divides, but one who unites. A leader is one who not only promises, but acts and delivers. One who does not give up and makes excuses and who always finds a way forward. Bedri Hamza knows what responsibility means. He knows that the economy does not develop with words, but with work. He knows that big decisions require courageous and dignified people like himself. Bedri Hamza will restore the dignity of leadership that serves the people and not himself. With Bedri Hamza, Kosovo wins. With PDK, Kosovo moves forward. Prizren of glory and culture, give Bedri Hamza a chance because he will never betray your trust. For this, I pledge allegiance to everyone," Krasniqi emphasized.Kosovo will hold parliamentary elections on February 9./KosovaPress
