The Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK), Ahmet Ismaili, during his stay in Washington, met the director of the European Department at the International Monetary Fund, Alfred Kammer, who he informed about the developments in the financial sector, the advancement of the legal framework, the progress of the implementation of the activities within the framework of programs with the IMF.
The discussion focused on the measures taken by the CBK to further strengthen the stability of the financial system, including the capitalization of the banking sector, new legal initiatives as well as the relevant technical assistance that is expected to be implemented during the next year in accordance with the objectives of the plan strategic.
The two parties re-emphasized their commitment to continue close cooperation in order to successfully implement objectives and projects that have a positive impact directly on the financial sector and the country's economy.
