The head of Kosovo's diplomacy, Donika Gërvalla, during her speech at the UN Security Council meeting, accused Serbia of wanting to destroy Kosovo's institutions "even with weapons", saying that the vice president of the Serbian government, Aleksandar Vulin, recently placed flowers on the grave of Josif Visarionovic Stalin.
Gërvalla has emphasized that Serbia, right after Russia, is the biggest threat to peace in Europe.
“We will continue to protect our residents and provide them with all the services they need... We need to talk about the dangers that no one wants to talk about. About the war that Putin can cause in the Balkans. We are in danger", said Donika Gërvalla.
She said that all residents of Kosovo have access to health and education, and that Kosovo has the highest possible level of protection of minority rights in Europe, with guaranteed seats in the Parliament.
"There is no place in the world called Kosovo and Metohija, it is the Republic of Kosovo", said Gërvalla.
She emphasized that the UNMIK report is unreliable, inaccurate and extremely pro-Serbian, advising the ambassadors of the UNSC members to use one of the many other reports instead.
Moreover, the Kosovar chief diplomat has rejected all of Gjuriq's accusations against Kosovo, calling them lies.
"A lie can traverse the world, while the truth is still putting on its shoes. There are so many lies that it is impossible to refute each of them here in a short time. None of these statements of Gjuriq are true", Gërvalla emphasized.
