A van with tourists from Albania was involved in a road accident today in Catania, Italy.

The accident happened around 16:00, while the exact causes are still unknown, but it is suspected to have been a defect in the brakes, according to Italian media.

16 people who were in the van were injured, while only one of them was transported by ambulance to the hospital. None of the tourists are in serious condition.

Police and firefighters are at the scene to carry out the necessary investigations. /tch
