European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed after an emergency summit in Paris that Europe is fully committed to supporting Ukraine with military assistance.

"Europe carries its full share of military aid to Ukraine," she said, Anadolu reports.

Ukraine deserves peace through strength, "respecting its independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, with strong security guarantees," von der Leyen added.

The EU Commission chief also reiterated the need to strengthen the bloc's defense capabilities.
