Visa liberalization for Kosovo is high on the agenda of the Czech Republic, which will hold the presidency of the Council of Europe until the end of the year.

The priorities of the Czech presidency for the next six months were presented in Pristina on Friday. The president and the prime minister have stated that during the year they intend to apply for candidate status in the European Union. Among other things, they emphasized that they expect the Czech Republic to close the issue of visa liberalization. The Czech Ambassador to Kosovo, Pavel Bilek, has stated that visa liberalization will be a priority during the Czech presidency of the Council of Europe.
