The Vetëvendosje Movement is the best alternative for a Kosovo with territorial integrity, says candidate for MP Hysen Durmishi.
Durmishi, who is running in the February 9 elections with the number 60, emphasizes that with the Vetëvendosje Movement, all illegal smuggling routes in the north have been closed, while adding that they have managed to govern without the Serb List.
In an interview with KosovaPress, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi, says that there are many other new projects that have started, which, he says, can only be completed with LVV in power.
"The citizens of Kosovo have seen the good work of the LVV in government for these four years. LVV within this mandate has managed to increase its budget by 50 percent and return that budget to the citizens through investments and other schemes, be it grants, subsidies and other forms so that economic development occurs, employment increases, and citizens have a better life. What the Government of Kosovo has done in northern Kosovo is enough for every citizen to vote again. The citizens of Kosovo dare not allow Kosovo to return once again to the way it was before the Kurti Government, because today we have sovereignty over every corner of the territory of Kosovo, territorial integrity throughout the entire territory of Kosovo, we have a strong army, a strong police force. We have allocated a budget for the army based on the criteria that NATO countries have, i.e. more than 2 percent of Kosovo's GDP and we have started a lot of good work that we must continue", Durmishi declares.
He also talks about LVV's plans for the next mandate, including roads connecting Albanians in North Macedonia, and other roads that have remained as forgotten areas."In the Ministry of Infrastructure alone, where I held the position of Deputy Minister, we had 347 million euros in contracts signed with only 70 million euros in budget. 182 million euros in debts for expropriations and many contracts without expropriation procedures. We have implemented a large part of them, we have started a large part of new projects, so we need another mandate in order to continue with our projects, because we have built a standard, a system that cannot be lowered any more. And what is most important, we have closed all illegal smuggling routes in the north, and we are building roads that unite Albanians unjustly divided for centuries. We are building roads that connect us with Albanians in North Macedonia, that connect us with Albania as forgotten areas that have had no possibility of communicating with each other. "We have agreements with the Government of Montenegro for two very important roads, both for Deçan-Plavë and for Pejë-Rozhajë, which must be implemented and we can only do this if the Vetëvendosje Movement, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, is in power." Durmishi underlines.
With Kurti's government, Durmishi says they have managed to remove the Serbian List from the Government.
"During our government, we removed the Serbian List from the Government, from the Assembly, and most of the time, we removed it from Kosovo as well. Therefore, we will not allow the situation to return to the way it was before the Kurti Government," he says.
For a sovereign Kosovo with territorial integrity, Durmishi says that the only alternative is the Vetëvendosje Movement.
"For a Kosovo with sovereignty and territorial integrity from corner to corner, and for modern infrastructure, vote for the Vetëvendosje Movement with number 118 and me as candidate number 60," he says. The campaign for the general elections in Kosovo began on January 11, while the elections will be held on February 9. /KosovaPress/
