Today, January 28th, marks European Data Protection Day, also known as European International Privacy Day.

This day is part of the right to privacy, as one of the basic human rights and freedoms.

January 28, 1981 is the date of signing the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data.

25 years later, in 2006, this date was symbolically chosen as the European Day of Personal Data Protection. Personal data is processed in many aspects of daily life, for example, opening a bank account, booking a ticket online, traveling, purchasing a SIM card, etc.
