Several villages of Podujeva have been left without electricity due to the breakdown of an underground cable.

The outlet that supplies electricity to the villages of Llapashtice, Sibovc, Sekiraqe, Konushevc and some others around is out of order.

This was announced by the spokesperson at the Kosovo Energy Distribution Company (KEDS), Lulzim Krasniqi.

He emphasized that KEDS teams are in the country and are working on fixing this underground cable.

"Due to the breakdown of an underground cable in the Podujeva region, Dalja, which supplies the villages of Llapashtice, Sibovc, Sekiraqe, Konushevc, etc., is out of order, leaving a certain number of consumers without electricity supply. KEDS teams are on site and are working intensively to restore this exit. We ask for understanding from the affected consumers, and we believe that within an optimal period, their electricity supply will be restored", announced Krasniqi for KosovaPress.

Meanwhile, citizens have informed KosovaPress that they have been without electricity since last night, until they received warnings that the breakdown will not be fixed until the evening.
