Chancellor Merkel’s visit is seen as support for regional co-operation within the European agenda

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on Tuesday will have a bilateral meeting with the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, in Tirana. The latter’s visit to the Western Balkans is being seen as support for regional co-operation within the European agenda. The executive considers that Merkel will give the message of support for the continuation of the Berlin Process, and the opposition welcomes such a visit. Whereas, the European integration experts expect Merkel to clarify her position on the “Open Balkan” regional initiative.

The spokesman of the Government of Kosovo, Përparim Kryeziu confirmed for KosovaPress the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and Chancellor Merkel, while saying that the regional cooperation, the Berlin Process and topics of interest to both countries will be discussed there…
