The historic mission of women in space, here's how preparations for the flight are going
American pop star Katy Perry and Lauren Sanchez, the fiancée of billionaire Jeff Bezos, have turned heads on social media by joining forces to celebrate Blue Origin’s upcoming historic mission – the first all-female space expedition. As part of preparations for the momentous event, the pair posed in futuristic dark blue bodysuits designed by Lauren Sanchez, showcasing a fusion of fashion, technology and a vision for the future. Lauren Sanchez, who leads the all-female team, announced that the mission will last 11 minutes and will be carried out by Bezos’ private space company, Blue Origin. The initiative marks an important step towards the inclusion of women in space exploration, and Sanchez noted that she is proud to lead this team, KosovaPress reports. Photos of Katy Perry and Sanchez in futuristic suits have caused a stir online. The suits were created to symbolize strength and elegance and to further emphasize the importance of this mission. Along with Perry, the team includes rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautical scientist Amanda Nguyen, CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, and the organizer herself, Lauren Sanchez.
