There will be new arrests in North Macedonia, Toshkovski: Disco was a barn
The Minister of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, Pance Toshkovski, said that 13 people have been arrested so far, while there will be more arrests for the Kocani tragedy. According to him, there are 23 suspects, 11 of whom are in short-term detention of 48 hours. Toshkovski said that the investigation has found that the Pulse nightclub did not have a certificate for the use of pyrotechnics, which is issued by the police. He said that due to corruption and crime, we are losing the lives of our children, writes TV 21. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the pyrotechnics were brought by the DNA gang, a member of the gang who is among the victims. According to him, there were no conditions for organizing events, as it is a barn that has been operating as a disco for 15 years, without proper licenses, without emergency doors, without proper fire extinguishing equipment. He said that this tragedy exposes the entire corrupt system, KosovaPress reports. Meanwhile, among the others arrested were 4 members of the discotheque's security and their manager, the discotheque's owner, his son, as well as the manager of this event that ended tragically, where 59 young people lost their lives and 118 people were injured.
