Cancellation of procurement activities by the executive, INPO releases report

The INPO organization, in the "monitoring of the procurement activities of the Government of Kosovo" report, announced that from 16 ministries and the Prime Minister's Office in 2023, about 296 activities have been canceled, of which 218 retenders have ended with contracts , while 78 activities remained unrealized.

Through this report, it is said that the Ministry of Infrastructure has recorded the highest level of failures in canceled activities with 60 percent.

According to this report, the financial value of the canceled activities is over 13 million euros in the budget, with the Ministry of Education leading with over 5 million euros.

In publishing this report, the INPO monitor, Diellor Gashi, said that the data was collected from the E-Procurement platform.

The researcher, Arbër Kabashi announced that the Ministry of Infrastructure has recorded the highest level of failures in canceled activities with 60 percent, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with 51.5 percent, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology with 50 percent, The Ministry of Internal Affairs with 44 percent and the Ministry of Agriculture with 33.3 percent.  

In this report there is also a list of recommendations so that procurement activities are not canceled and repeated in the future.
