According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter star Hakan Calhanoglu is likely to miss the first Serie A match after the November break due to an injury sustained with the Turkish national team.
The Turkish star suffered a minor muscle injury while on international duty. Although preliminary examinations have ruled out a serious injury, Inter's doctors are waiting to visit the player to make their assessments.
Sky Sport Italia reported on Sunday that the Nerazzurri were working to bring Calhanoglu back to Milan, but according to Gazzetta, Turkey has yet to agree to release the player. As planned before his injury, he could return to Italy on Wednesday.
Calhanoglu will not be involved in Turkey's Nations League match against Montenegro on Tuesday and is likely to be ruled out of Inter's next match as well, even if it is only a preliminary.
According to Gazzetta, in fact, Inter hope to rely on a fully fit Calhanoglu for the Champions League clash with RB Leipzig on November 26.
