The stage cantata Carmina Burana by Carl Orff will be performed in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture on February 17, 2025, under the direction of Maestro Najden Todorov, the Sofia Philharmonic said on Tuesday. This concert symbolizes cultural cooperation in the region, said organizers from the Sofia Philharmonic. The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Republic of North Macedonia, the State Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Greece and the National Philharmonic Choir will also take part in the concert.

The soloists are soprano Ana Durlovski from the Republic of North Macedonia, countertenor Nikolas Spanos from Greece and baritone Ivo Yordanov from Bulgaria.

With a choir, soloists, lively orchestration and stage action, Carmina Burana tells the story of the fragility of human fate, the joys of spring, the intense passions of love and the pleasures of life./BTA-KosovaPress
