Bulgarian badminton player Stefani Stoeva won the women's singles title at the 2024 edition of the Egypt International tournament, part of the International Series, on Sunday.

In Cairo, the Bulgarian defeated the eighth seed Yasmine Hamza of Italy in 31 minutes 21-10, 22-20.

Stoeva dominated the first game and secured victory in the second, eventually taking the gold. She won the title with five consecutive victories.

Bulgaria finished the competition with two medals. Gabriela Stoeva and Evgeni Panev took the mixed doubles bronze medal on Saturday.

"Third place for us in mixed doubles. We are satisfied with the level of performance we showed this week. There are more to come... Thanks to our team and everyone who supported us," wrote Gabriela Stoeva on Instagram. /BTA
