With the 20 euros he earns per day, this construction worker is one of the citizens who today decided to boycott markets due to the high prices of products. According to him, with the 20 euros he earns per day from his hard construction work, he cannot even cover his and his family's daily expenses due to the high prices.
"We get an average salary of 20 euros a day. But what can I do with 20 euros? I'm from Tetovo, where there is oil and where are the other expenses. We just have to work and there is nothing left, very difficult. So you are boycotting today too? Yes, we are boycotting too, today is Ramadan," declared a citizen.
The doors of the markets were closed more than open today, while the breaks of the market employees were more frequent than on other days.
"Just as the boycott of markets was announced a few days ago, this happened today. Rare are the citizens who frequent the markets today, while those we surveyed earlier say that it is enough to send a message to entrepreneurs today to lower prices because according to them, these prices cannot be afforded," reports Avni Tahiri - Journalist.
"Are you boycotting today? Yes. Definitely. That's why I came out later. I'll go to the doctor and that's it. Will a message be sent with today's boycott? If we're all united, maybe something will happen, otherwise I don't know," said a citizen."Are you boycotting today? Yes, I am boycotting because this is unbearable for me. Prices are too high while pensions are low, let alone salaries. Young people are leaving here, let's establish order and let there be life here and let this country be a country as it should be. Will a message be sent with today's boycott? I think it depends on how persistent we are in maintaining the boycott," said another citizen.
While some citizens boycotted markets entirely, others said that even though they support the boycott, they were still forced to buy only basic necessities.
"Are you boycotting today? Yes, partly because I only buy what I absolutely need," emphasized one citizen.
"Are you boycotting today? According to the bag, it seems not. I only bought two cabbages, lettuce. So today is a fast day? Yes", replied a citizen. /Alsat.mk/
