Serbia is continuing its efforts to hinder the Kosovo Government's support for Albanians in the Presevo Valley, attempting to block the functioning of the Albanian National Council (ANC).
This blockage, according to Bislim, is being carried out through the refusal to register the new chairman of the Albanian National Assembly, Enkel Rexhepi, an action that is considered political interference and a violation of the rights of Albanians by Serbia.
Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, has said that Serbia is once again attempting to block our government's support for Albanians in the Presevo Valley, and is now also blocking the functioning of the Albanian National Council by refusing to register the new president.
According to Bislim, both of these are political interference, violations of the rights of Albanians, and a clear manifestation of the Serbian regime's discrimination against Albanians.
"These actions by the Serbian state are not isolated, but part of an ongoing strategy to discriminate against the Albanians of the Valley, block their economic development, and undermine their legitimate institutions," he wrote on Facebook.According to him, Kosovo's aid to the Albanians of the Valley is legitimate, as the funds, in addition to being transparent, also constitute fair and necessary support.
While he added that the blockade against the functioning of the Albanian Council is an action that has no legal basis and is a political intervention with the aim of the Council remaining dysfunctional and powerless to protect the rights of Albanians.
"This is an open attempt to control Albanian institutions and to stifle any independent voice that opposes Serbia's discriminatory policies. Serbia wants Albanians to have no voice and no representation. We will not remain indifferent to these violations," he writes.
He said that the Government of Kosovo will not stop supporting the Albanians of the Valley, despite the obstacles from Serbia, but on the contrary, we will increase our support year by year, just as we have done during this mandate.
Also, according to him, the international community should be vigilant against these developments, and the next attempts to violate the rights of Albanians by the oppressive Serbian regime.
