The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi has again asked the European Union to lift the measures against Kosovo.

Bislimi, after accepting the Report on the country, said that they will implement the recommendations "regardless of the unfair measures [against Kosovo] that are in force".

"We welcome the recommendations of this report which will be taken seriously for the next period. The implementation of the recommendations is important for us, even towards the further development of our country. We will continue the implementation of the recommendations and the political prioritization of the European integration agenda despite the unfair measures that are in force", said Bislimi.

After the meeting with the head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Ambassador Aivo Orav, he said that the report in only two of the chapters "records that there is no progress.

"The report records that there is no progress in only two of the chapters, in each of the other chapters it says that there is little progress or there is good progress, in only two of all the chapters it says that there is no progress", said Bislimi.

As for the lifting of the measures, Ambassador Aivo Orav said that they are working in this direction, but consensus at the EU level is needed.
