The former chairman of the Albanian National Council in the Presheva Valley, Ragmi Mustafi, has commented on the decision of the Supreme Court of Serbia regarding the non-punishment of the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Alekansar Vulin, for his "discriminatory and derogatory statements against Albanians".

Through a post on the Facebook social network, Mustafi said that the former Minister of Defense, instead of being punished, was protected by the court's decision.

Andaj Mustafi has warned Vulini that he will send the case to the Constitutional Court of Serbia and then to Strasbourg.

Ragmi Mustafi's full post:

STAMP, WE'RE NOT DONE YET - SEE YOU AT THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF SERBIA, AND THEN IN STRASBOURG!

When the Supreme Court of Serbia, with the signature of Judge Dragana Marinković, chooses to turn a blind eye to the flagrant discrimination and derogatory language of Zaveda Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, it does nothing but highlight a bitter reality: the justice system in Serbia continues to be held hostage by politics, protecting those who promote division and hatred against Albanians.

Instead of condemning the one who publicly calls for a discriminatory approach, incitement of violence and intolerance towards the Albanian community as Vulini's goal - that world in the capacity of the Minister of Defense, she takes him to the defense. The term he used "šiptar" is not just a word. It is an attempt to lower the dignity of Albanians, to exclude them, to criminalize them and to lead them to a deep ethnic division.

The decision of the Supreme Court brings this case to the Constitutional Court of Serbia. With its conclusion, all the legal conditions are met, for the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg to become our only next destination.

The lawsuit, filed since August 25, 2019, for discrimination, criminalization, incitement to violence and derogatory language, now finally takes another dimension. And let's not think that we are dealing only with a powerful political figure - this is a great test for a justice that refuses to protect basic human rights.

Let it be clear: we do not forget and we will not stop. This is not just a legal battle; it is a battle for dignity, for the rights of Albanians and for their respect. Strasbourg will be an arena where we will persistently demand what is denied to us today in Serbia.
