The White House has said that the US president, Joe Biden, has been informed about the plane which is reported to have crashed in Russia.
"We have now had a brief comment from the White House, which says that President Joe Biden has been briefed on the reported plane crash in Russia," writes the BBC.
The world's media is reporting that Wagner's boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was on the passenger list of a plane that crashed, killing all on board.
