The draw for the groups of the FIFA Club World Cup from June 15 to July 13, 2025 in the United States of America was made today in Miami.
It will be the 21st edition of this competition, but the first with 32 clubs from six confederations.
The new edition of the Club World Cup has drawn much criticism in recent months due to the expansion of the already overcrowded calendar.
2025 FIFA Club World Cup Groups:Group B: PSG (France), Atletico Madrid (Spain), Botafogo (Brazil), Seattle Sounders (USA)
Group C: Bayern (Germany), Auckland City (New Zealand), Boca Juniors (Argentina), Benfica (Portugal)
Group F: Fluminense (Brazil), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Ulsan (South Korea), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa)
Group H: Real Madrid (Spain), Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Pachuca (Mexico), RB Salzburg (Austria)
The tournament begins on June 15 and the final is on July 13 in New Jersey. It will be played in 11 American cities - Pasadena, East Rutherford/New Jersey, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Nashville, Cincinnati, Washington, Atalanta, Seattle, Miami, Orlando, in 12 stadiums.
Several restrictions were applied during the draw, including the general principle that no group could contain more than one team from the same confederation. This applies to all confederations except UEFA, which will be represented at the tournament by 12 clubs, so there are two European clubs in four of the eight groups.
The Club World Cup is an annual competition organized by FIFA without interruption since 2005, after the first edition was held in 2000. The record holder is Real Madrid with five titles, Barcelona with three and Bayern and Corinthians with two each.
The draw was made by Italian football legend Alessandro Del Piero, while he was assisted by Ivanka Trump, Italian journalist Diletta Leotta, singer Gloria Estefan, former coach Arsene Wenger, former footballer Youri Djorkaeff.
