Journalist Zijadin Gashi has died at the age of 51. The news was announced on Tuesday after Gashi faced a serious illness.

He left behind his wife and three children.

Zijadin Gashi has worked in several media outlets in Kosovo and his work has been awarded with prizes.

This year, the Association of Journalists of Kosovo has given him recognition for his work during the war.

"Gashi had a long and dedicated career in the field of media. He was an active part of Kosovar journalism before and during the war, and worked in several print, electronic and television media in Kosovo," reads the AGK's condolence telegram -'s.

Recently, Gashi worked as editor-in-chief at Tëvë1. He has left his mark on the local media.
