Yesterday's explosion in the village of Varage in Zubin Potok, where the Ibër-Lepenci canal that supplies a large part of the country with drinking water and power plants was damaged as a result, is a terrorist attack organized by Serbia, says security expert Hajrullah Tërnava. According to him, Kosovo should reconsider the commitment to send the KSF to the north.

According to him, the Kosovo Police should strengthen security around critical facilities and services, such as bridges, transformer stations, antennas, lakes, canals, as there may be repetitions of such attacks.

In relation to this, he asks the institutions of Kosovo, in coordination with the allies, to reconsider the decision of 2013 for the KSF to go to the north even without the consent of KFOR.

"All of them are terrorist acts. We have to find out who they are. The perpetrators of these actions are prepared for the same and how to finish them, change their location and flee to Serbia. Then others come, since their preparation is in this form in groups to be with me permanently", he says.

In addition, he declares that the successive attacks in the last few days in the north are happening because of the extension of sovereignty in the four northern municipalities.

According to him, the Police should be on high alert for the arrest of those responsible for such attacks in the north.

He wants to strengthen the security around the facilities of critical services that Kosovo has.

In relation to this, Tërnava considers it necessary to re-examine Kosovo's commitment to NATO for the presence of the KSF in the north of Kosovo.

"However, it should be reconsidered. The time has come and it is proof that that (moment) is coming", emphasizes Tërnava.

In the evening hours of Friday, an explosion occurred in the village of Varage in Zubin Potok, where as a result the Ibër-Lepenci canal, which supplies a large part of the country with drinking water and power plants, was damaged.
