The disease has appeared in pigs and according to information, at least 10 heads have died, of which five in a farm and five others along the forest massif of this area.

After the identification of the cases, the Veterinary Service in Lezha was immediately put into motion and the analyzes carried out showed that the pigs died from the African plague. For this reason, the area has been quarantined, while checks are being carried out in the entire area.

The veterinary service has refused to comment, while all personnel are at work today and are continuing to analyze the situation. A group of veterinarians from the veterinary service in Lezha have gone to the field to monitor the area and carry out disinfection in case there is a risk of an epidemic./TCh/
