At the Kickboxing tournament that was held last weekend in Cetinje, Montenegro, a not-so-glamorous incident occurred. In fact, the judge from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Feđa Trbonja, hit the kickboxing coach of Fight Club Arbër, Migjen Basha, with a trophy.
The incident happened after the fight between the competitor from Kosovo, Nart Mehmeti, and the competitor from Podgoriva, Luka Heber, a fight which ended with the victory of the local kickboxer.
The president of the Kosovo Kickboxing Federation, Fatmir Makolli, considers such an event as "very unfortunate".
"This is a very serious event that happened in Cetinje (Montenegro) towards our coach... You can clearly see what reaction the referee had, I think he was very busy and is a very big nationalist , but according to some data, he is also a Serb, and to react in that way, I for one am surprised, I have never seen such a bad incident attacking the coach", says Makolli first."It is known that we, as a state, have probably hindered it, Albanians hinder it when they participate, and it has probably waited for the moment. I don't know, have you heard the insults and insults that have been made against our state by the public and we must react very strongly to stop these in the future", Makolli emphasizes.
Makolli announced that he has already met with the President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Ismet Krasniqi, and that soon they are expected to come up with a joint response to condemn this incident.
