The import of electricity in September 2024 was 166.73 GWh, while the export of electricity in this period was 114.34 GWh (this includes the amount of transmission), reports KosovaPress.

While, during this month, the gross electricity available was 450.55 GWh, while the electricity consumption was 343.61 GWh or 4,55 percent less compared to the same month of the previous year.

Meanwhile, the participation of alternative electricity within the general consumption was 9,79%.

"The import of electricity in September 2024 was 166.73 GWh, while the export of electricity in this period was 114.34 GWh (here the amount of transmission is also included)", says the report of the Kosovo Statistics Agency published "Energy Statistics ” for the month of September 2024 with data on coal production and consumption, energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, as well as the import and export of other energy sources.

However, according to KAS, coal production was about 599.92 thousand tons, or (-0,42%) less than in the same month of the previous year.
