The Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti, said that Kosovo and Macedonia will sign two memorandums and a protocol in the areas that he called important: energy, education and the facilitation of free movement.

At the joint meeting of the two governments that is being held in Pristina, Kurti said that "from January 1, 2025, at two border points, Hani i Elezit - Bllacë and Jazhincë - Glloboqicë, the entry-entry model will be implemented where our police officers they will work together in a building".

According to Kurt, this will reduce the waiting time at the border and facilitate the free movement of citizens.

"One of the main results of today's meeting will be the signing of the technical protocol resulting from the agreement on joint border crossings. Starting from January 1, 2025, at two border points, Hani i Elezit - Bllacë and Jazhincë - Glloboqicë, the entry-entry model will be implemented where our police officers will work together in one building. This cooperation will reduce the waiting time at the border and facilitate the free movement of our citizens, together we are improving the border infrastructure and building new roads that strengthen the ties between citizens and increase economic prosperity for our two countries", said Kurt.
